»Jesus Camp

March 20, 2007, 12:02 am

Due to my lovely best friend/ obscure film afficianado I had the privelege of watching the evangelical epic "Jesus Camp" Despite the film not really progressing, I was titilated by the tweens and their uncontrollable girations, fits of tears and soured faces that mimick those only achieved by people over the age of 70 and exposed to much suffering. All the little boys wanted to be JC and all the little girls wanted to date him, their faces lit up when Jesus was mentioned the same way their faces would light up if JTT was on the cover of Tiger Beat Magazine.

They are a little army of tweens ready to become martyrs for Jesus Christ (out of the mouths of babes) The frightening part was their passion and commitment to this martyrdom, paired with their passion and commitment to Pro-life endevours. These two passions combined for those on the eve of puberty can only create fear in left wingers. (it's O.K. I studied the anatomy, midwestern American kids have weak knees, they'd go down with one swift leg sweep)

We also catch a glimpse of the "oh -so- charming" Ted Haggard, the Conservative right thinking minister who was caught with a little ecstasy and engaged with another man.

Unfortunately the glamourous Tammy Faye Messner of The surreal Life fame, seductress of scandal and representing for all the black Acrylic Mascara appliers out there was not a participant
