A beginning of something, not sure what this will become, but somehow it's connected to another idea I had, but have yet to execute. Right now, the video will play forward or in reverse depending on where the greatest amount of motion is... I began to experiment with this in terms of standing in front of the camera and playing the video forward with my right hand and reversing it with my left. There is a fairly good ramp up/down of the speed and direction of playback, so it can become rather violent at times.
I also had to do some trouble shooting with the RSS + Quartz Composer piece; I tried it on a borrowed macbook pro, on which the graphics card accelerated the display and changed the actual presentation of some of the text. A little more testing and it was working along with a mini-app that actually plays the QC file on any computer. Quicktime and Safari can both play QC files, but Quicktime only plays 30 seconds and has no access to an Internet connection and Safari does not go fullscreen. So, now I have a little more playing ahead of me, to further test the stability of the program over time and get something that instantly plays the file without the need for selecting it upon app launch.

Hey, if you want full screen in safari, Saft is what you're looking for...it's $12 and adds a bunch of smaller features that Apple should have added themselves.

Richard, thanks for that! I've tested the mini-app to run the QC composition and it seems fairly stable. However, having it run on Safari could potentially make it easier... have you used Saft?
